Dear Parents & Guardians
On Monday’s assembly the student leaders spoke about R U OK? Day and the importance of knowing when to ask, “Are you OK?” and how to ask, “Are you OK?” Some tips that were given on how to have an R U OK? Conversation were these 4 steps:
Would someone you know benefit from being asked if they are OK? Asking may mean the world of difference.
On Thursday morning from 8:00am, we will be holding a community BBQ on R U OK? Day. Students are encouraged to wear yellow or their Kindness shirts. If you do not have these, sensible free dress with a SunSmart hat and closed in shoes will be suitable.
Thanks to all those parents who were able to make Parent/Teacher interviews last week. In educational settings, statistics and data clearly indicate that when parents and teachers work together, there is a definite increase in the positive outcomes for students and their wellbeing.
I also want to acknowledge the Joey’s staff and the commitment they show toward their students as these interviews often involve considerable time away from their own families during early mornings and some late evenings.
Please remember that if needed, our teachers are always available to be contacted and suitable times for meetings can be arranged.
Very early next term we will endeavour to provide a comprehensive calendar of school events for what is always a very busy nine weeks.
Have a great week and an enjoyable September holiday break with your children.
Don’t Forget….
Term 4 Commences. Tuesday, 3rd October
Kindest Regards
