Dear Parents & Guardians
Welcome to Week 6 of Term 3
This Thursday the 17th of August is National Day of Action Against Bullying & Violence. On this day, the students are asked to wear orange shirts or their ‘Kindness’ shirts to support this initiative.
The Student Leaders have been working with Miss Black and presented some great material to the student body on Monday Morning’s assembly. It was great to be reminded about the following information that was on a couple of the slides that was presented.
I would like to remind the Joey’s community that Friday the 1st of September is a Pupil Free Day. As the majority of our Outside of School Hours Care staff are also Joey’s staff, the OSHC will only be able to open from 8:00am to 4:00pm with limited staff. This is due to the fact that many of the staff need to attend the Pupil Free Day and are unable to work in OSHC on that day. This means that there will be limited spaces available on a first in best dressed basis. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Prep offers for 2024 will be sent out this Friday via email. For those families that have applied, please access these offers as soon as possible so we can ensure offers in the second round can be made as soon as possible.
The Catholic Education Office is currently running a campaign to bolster staffing within our primary schools, secondary colleges, kindys and After School Hours services. I have included some of the promotional information if you are looking at a career change or if you know someone who wants to make a difference by teaching in a Catholic school. If you know someone who may be interested, please pass this information on to them.
Don’t Forget….
Kindest Regards
Bernard Fitzgerald
Principal – St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Park Avenue
